A Little About the Inn
After an invigorating day of sports or exploration, outdoor enthusiasts and tourists alike will love the charming accommodations at Cottonwood Street Inn. Although the property began many years ago as an Idaho-Canadian line shack, it has been lovingly renovated to provide the comfort and modern conveniences our guests demand, without sacrificing the rustic charm found only in the Idaho mountains. Our two guest rooms each have a private bath, and we recently added a tiny shared guest kitchen (fully equipped) as well as outdoor seating for dining or relaxing. A full breakfast delivered to your room is included in the Friday-Saturday rates, and can be added upon request during the week for an additional charge.
Located a block from Idaho City's historic downtown, our guests can enjoy the shops, historic buildings, museums and historic buildings, restaurants, the local hot springs spa, and special events that make Idaho City the perfect choice for your next overnight getaway..
A Little About the Innkeeper
Hello! My name is Cynthia and I moved to Idaho from Minnesota in the autumn of 2018, after my only child left for college. Although Minnesota has a lot to offer, it's always been a dream of mine to live in the mountains. On my first visit to Idaho City to look at this property, I instantly fell in love with the warm and friendly people every bit as much as the stunning scenery. And even though we get tons of snow here in the winter, it's never too cold to go out and play in it, which I really appreciate. I'm an outdoor enthusiast, and Idaho City is like nature's playground all year round for folks like me! My dog Hagrid and I hike the trails around town every day, and the beauty here never gets old.
For several years I ran a large Victorian inn, but really prefer the intimate and more casual vibe of Cottonwood Street Inn. The guest rooms feel homey, and they should, because most of the decor is from my own home back in Minnesota. I love the idea of creating a place where people can come to make wonderful memories, so all of the renovations have been designed to create a welcoming and comfortable space for my guests. I've also collected some extra equipment like snowshoes and cross-country skis for guests to use while they are here, and plan to add a couple of mountain bikes to that list in the future.
I look forward to meeting you!
Cynthia, Innkeeper

They can also point you to the best fishing or kayaking. Whatever the outdoor activity, Idaho City provides a stunning backdrop to help you make cherished memories.
